Sad! Happy!

Did you read  Life with Lynnie (LwL), yesterday?

If you didn't, then please read it now, before you read this entry.

If you did, you would realize that so many people who were on a cruise... were suffering... because they had to stay IN their cabin... until they were finally able to get off the cruise ship.

That wasn't easy.

Now, I want you to know that other people have truly suffered by Coronavirus... even though they haven't had it.

Like a friend of mine... who moved from where she was living... into a retirement home building.  She moved there, because it was too difficult to live alone at her older age... and didn't want to hurt her daughter and family, by living with them.

It was expensive... living at that retirement building, but she liked it.

Until... our Canadian government affected everyone... due to the Coronavirus that was so dangerous to everyone.

I spoke with my friend's daughter on the phone... because I heard that my friend... had died.

I let her daughter know that her mom and I had been friends...  since the day my husband died... which was also the day that my friend's husband (the father of her daughter).. also died.

Yes, it was sad to me... even more... when her daughter let me know that she and family was NOT able to see my friend.

Why?

Because... everyone where my friend was living... were also affected by the Coronavirus...because... they all (including my friend)... had to stay in their bedroom.

They weren't being like people on a cruise... because they were having to permanently stay in their bedroom... alone... and will have to... until the government changes what people need to do.

To me, it was truly sad... that my friend's daughter also told me that she was finally able to see her mom outside the building... only ONE TIME... after a FEW months... of my friend being stuck alone permanently in her bedroom.

There is something I am happy about.

What is it?

My friend belonged to God... because, she had gained salvation and everlasting life... along with her husband... when he was alive.

Even though my friend suffered, I am happy that she will spend eternity with our Lord... forever!

Thinking about that, made me think about 1 Peter 4:13, "But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.".

Amen!  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Yes, many people... like my friend... suffer... but so did our Lord, Jesus Christ... when He was here on earth... because God, the Father, had Him come to the earth... to pay the price for the sin of the world... for all who would believe upon Him.

So, even though I miss my friend... I am happy for her... for she will spend eternity... with her husband... and with Him!

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
