I hope you clicked on that link and read that article. I will share you a bit (I copied/pasted):
The Ontario Human Rights Tribunal has dismissed a complaint that playing God Save The Queen and Canada’s national anthem in public schools could potentially breach the Charter Of Rights.
Blind River, Ont., high school math teacher Gabriela Rosilius, who is a secular humanist, made the complaint after claiming she suffered discrimination by having to listen to both songs when school started every morning according to Blacklock’s Reporter.
“A person whose rights have not been infringed may not file an application he or she believes to be in the public interest,” wrote the Tribunal, adding complaints must be backed up by actual evidence of discrimination.
Currently, no province forces school boards to play God Save The Queen and Manitoba was the last one to mandate its playing in the classrooms in 1998.
Rosilius later clarified in testimony that God Save The Queen was not played at her school but the royal tribute, O’Canada and Christmas carols at the Christmas pageant should be banned as “non-secular activities”.
The teacher said “if her rights are infringed, then others’ rights are as well.”
However, the complaint was rejected by the Tribunal under the Human Rights Code.Wow!
To me, it is terrible that anyone didn't want... playing/singing... 'God Save the Queen'... and 'O'Canada'... to be done.
However, I am glad that it wasn't blocked from happening.
To me, if they were not being able to sing... 'God Save the Queen' and/or 'O'Canada'...then it would be violent.
Thinking about that, made me think about Psalm 49:12, "Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not [d]remain; He is like the beasts that perish.".
Amen! Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not [d]remain; He is like the beasts that perish.
I am happy that it is still okay to honour Canada... plus Queen Elizabeth... plus England... that helped arrange Canada!
Yes, I do honour them... but, I also honour God... for He truly loves us who belongs to Him.
I belong to Him.. because I am a Christian believer.
If not, then I would suggest you gain salvation and everlasting life by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... for then you will belong to Him.
If you do... He will truly love you... and provide for you... forever... and you will spend eternity with Him in Heaven... when your life ends... here on earth.
If you don't, then you will spend eternity in Hell... separated from God... with NO chance of escape.
If we both belong, then He will always love us.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
