Sad and Happy...

There is a couple things I feel I need to let you know about, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).

Both thing relate to an issue that happened, back in April, 2020.

Here is a link for an article by globalnews.ca that is entitled, Coronavirus: Ford says millions of medical masks from 3M blocked at border, 500K released so farhttps://globalnews.ca/news/6783216/justin-trudeau-us-blocking-medical-supplies-coronavirus-covid-19/amp/.

I hope you clicked on that link and read that article. I will share a bit with you (I copied/pasted):

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says a shipment of medical masks was blocked at the U.S. border from entering Ontario.

EDITOR’S NOTE: This story has been updated twice to reflect two sets of clarifications made by an Ontario government source and Premier Doug Ford about the number of ordered/blocked masks.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the province ordered roughly three or four million medical masks from American supplier 3M only to have them blocked at the border on Sunday amid the coronavirus pandemic.

It also stated (I copied/pasted):

But Ford said he was told Monday that 500,000 of those masks are being released to Ontario.

Here is an article by Toronto.citynews.ca that is entitled, 500K protective masks held up by US at border to be released: Ontariohttps://toronto.citynews.ca/2020/04/06/ontario-will-run-out-of-protective-equipment-for-health-care-workers-in-a-week-premier-ford/amp/.

Here is what was stated (I copied/pasted):

A shipment of protective masks destined for Ontario that was stopped at the U.S.-Canada border on Sunday night is now being released, the province confirmed Monday.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said earlier Monday that the shipment contained three million N-95 masks. Ford’s office later clarified that the shipment contained 500,000 masks.
In a one-on-one interview with CityNews Monday morning, Ford warned that if the shipment didn’t go through, Ontario’s frontline health care workers would run out of masks within a week.
“We’re getting near the crunch,” Ford said. “We’re having a real issue with our U.S. counterparts.”
The premier said he expressed his concerns with the U.S. Trade Ambassador, telling him Ontario is in “desperate need” of the equipment. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also said he had “productive and positive” conversations with the U.S. regarding the fate of the masks.
Ford added that the province was exploring other options, including reaching out to contacts in Asia for help.
A Woodbridge company is also set to begin production of up to a million masks sometime next week.
It also stated (I copied/pasted):

Ford has vocally criticized Trump’s move to halt the shipments, calling it “unacceptable” and vowing to ramp up Ontario’s own manufacturing of personal protective equipment.
“When you sit back and you think of your allies and the wars we’ve gone through, and we’ve stood shoulder to shoulder fighting the same enemies. And now we have an enemy and we’re at war and they want to shut things down with their closest ally in the world?” Ford said Saturday from Queen’s Park.
“When the cards are down, you see who your friends are, and I think it’s been very clear over the last couple of days who our friends are. You know who our friends are? Every Canadian, look in the mirror, that’s who are our friends are right now.”

What happened wasn't great... especially since we didn't think we would receive any masks.

But, it was wonderful hearing that some masks were coming through the border from USA into Canada.

Thinking about that, made me think about Proverbs 13:6, "Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.".

Amen!  Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

Yes, to me it was a terrible situation to deal with.

It seemed like sin was being done.

But, I was glad that it seemed it was working out better.

It seemed sad... yet later... happy!

So all I feel I can say now... is Hallelujah!

Until next time...
