Like usual, I'll be sharing something with you, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
After all, today is our Lord's Day, and we need to worship.
I'm sure you probably realize that I enjoy worshiping with church family. Plus, I like to worship through music.
The YouTube hymn I'm sharing with you is by Isaac Watts, that is entitled, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_fvFfPqjO4. If you click on that link, you'll be able to listen to and/or sing along. The lyrics are below.
When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
When I survey the wondrous cross
Oh which the Prince of glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood
See from his dead, his hands,
his feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Where the whole realm of nature mine,
That were an offering far too small,
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my fire, my all.
Just as the lyrics have said, love is so amazing!
We have had great love... by Jesus... who gave His life here on earth, to pay the price for the sin of the world, for all who will believe upon Him.
Thinking of that, made me think of John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.".
I am thankful that I have been loved by Jesus!
Especially, since I have not had much love, here on earth.
What a blessing it is, that Jesus loved us so much, that He gave His life for us.
Because He did that, I have gained salvation and everlasting life... by trusting in/believing upon Him.
If you haven't yet done that, do it now.
Tomorrow... may be too late.
Until next time...
