Hopefully you worship.
Even though we worship, we can also worship through music!
Here is a CHRISTmas song on YouTube that is entitled, Deck the Hall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPCXMTnO2Yw. If you click on the link, you can listen to and/or sing along. The lyrics are below.
Deck the Hall
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la
Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
See the blazing Yule before us
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Strike the harp and join the chorus
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Follow me in merry measure
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la
While I tell of Yule-tide treasure
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Fast away the old year passes
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Hail the new year, lads and lasses
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Sing we joyous, all together
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la
Heedless of the wind and weather
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Today, is part of the season to be jolly!
Why?
Because even though we truly do NOT know when Jesus was born, we are celebrating Christmas... to celebrate His birth!
Thinking about that, made me think of Ecclesiastes 3:1-2, "
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;".
Amen! To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;.
This is the time when we can focus on Jesus' birth.
After all, His birth was the beginning of a wonderful purpose under Heaven.
Why?
Jesus came to submit His life, to pay the price for all the sin in the world, for all who would gain salvation by trusting in/believing upon Him... our Lord, Jesus Christ.
For this, I feel joy... and am thankful.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
