Today, is also our day of worship.
In addition to worshiping with church family, we can worship through music!
So, I'll share some music with you!
Here is a YouTube song entitled, Disturbed - "The Sound of Silence" (Canadian Military Tribute): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtU6y6xnxiA&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR2ZfSiaaWlECO4LTPZC3vqyMtBSv8TOnFlE_qbLyYQzsmi37-2kiiGoFpo. If you click on that link, you can listen to and/or sing along. The lyrics are below.
The Sound of Silence
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools, " said I, "You do not know
Silence, like a cancer, grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells, of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls"
And whispered in the sounds of silence
What a blessing... that the people bowed and prayed.
After all, my mom and dad, who were both in the Canadian army during WW2, both mentioned that people prayed.
And, God truly helped them!
Thinking about that, made me think of Revelation 19:6, " And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.".
Amen! And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Yes, God reigns!
I'm so happy that tomorrow will be our Remembrance Day!
God helped my family members and other military people, not just in WW2, but also in many other times and places.
God loves everyone who belongs to Him!
I belong to Him.
If you belong to Him, you'll realize that He loves you.
And, He will bless you!
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
