Family?

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll remind you that today... is our day of worship.

Even if you worship with church family, you/we can worship with music!

So, I will share with you a link for a hymn on YouTube by Bill Gaither entitled, The Family of Godhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bj97unXda6c.  If you click on the link, you can listen to and/or sing along.  The lyrics are below.

The Family of God

For I'm part of the family,
The Family of God.

You will notice we say "brother and sister" 'round here,
It's because we're a family and these folks are so near;
When one has a heartache, we all share the tears,
And rejoice in each victory in this family so dear.

I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God,
I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I'm part of the family,
The Family of God.

From the door of an orphanage to the house of the King,
No longer an outcast, a new song I sing;
From rags unto riches, from the weak to the strong,
I'm not worthy to be here, but praise God I belong!

I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God,
I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His Blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I'm part of the family,
The Family of God

Yes, I'm part of the family,
The Family of God.

Yes, I'm part of the Family of God!

Not everyone knows about that.

Why?

Because not everyone belongs to Him.

Thinking about that, made me think of 1 John 3:1-2, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.".

Amen!  Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Are you part of the family of God?

Do you, belong to Him?

I do.

If you do, then when our life ends here on earth, we'll spend eternity with Him, in Heaven.

Hallelujah!

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
