Sweet Beulah Land...

Today, is a special day, not just here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).  It's also a special day, because it's Thanksgiving weekend, of 2019!

We need to worship, with our church family.  Just as I do.  Hopefully, you do, also.

Of course, we can also worship through music.  Just as I've said in the past.

So, I'm sharing some music with you.

Here is a link for you to click on, for music by Squire Parsons, that is entitled, Sweet Beulah Landhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pS_-cMv7lc&fbclid=IwAR3lJL-hmuTGWvuNYpHQ-BISQuJpLeeZvaftA30fm49C6PZi7ThpiQcuP5Q.  Click on that link, so you can listen to and/or sing along.  The lyrics are below.

Sweet Beulah Land

I'm kind of homesick for a country
To which I've never been before.
No sad goodbyes will there be spoken
For time won't matter anymore.
Beulah Land (Beulah Land) I'm longing for you (I'm longing for you)
And some day (And some day) on thee I'll stand (Someday we will stand)
There my home (There my home) shall be eternal (Eternal)
Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land
I'm looking now, just across the river
To where my faith, shall end in sight (Shall end in sight)
There's just a few more days to labor.
Then I will take my heavenly flight.
Beulah Land (Beulah Land) I'm longing for you (I'm longing for you)
And some day (And some day) on thee I'll stand (Someday we will stand)
There my home (There my home) shall be eternal
Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land
Beulah Land, oh it's Beulah Land
Oh Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land

To me, this song was lovely.

In case you haven't heard of Beulah, I decided to share with you a link, so you can read about it:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beulah_(given_name).

Yes, it was also mentioned in the Bible.  So, I decided to share the Bible verse with you.

It's... Isaiah 62:3-4, "Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.".

Amen!  Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

How did I hear this song?  Well, quite a while ago a Facebook (FB) friend of mine shared that song.  She also mentioned how it was sung during the funeral of her husband who had died.

If you read about Beulah, you'll be aware that it refers to being between Earth and Heaven.

That truly touched my heart.  After all, my husband also died.

Even though Gordon didn't die on this day, he did die on Thanksgiving weekend, 10 years ago.  Just as I mentioned in the past.  So, I decided to share the music with you, for it truly touched my heart.

I pray that you will enjoy this Thanksgiving weekend.

May God bless you.

Until next time...
