Shall!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), there's something I feel you need to know about.  Especially, if you are Canadian!

To me, it's not something that's good.

It's something that our Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau did.

What did Justin Trudeau do?  He changed the law regarding drunk driving.  The change made was apparently illegal.  And, people who haven't even been drinking and driving might be falsely accused, and convicted... as I found out about online.

To me, Justin Trudeau is a terrible Canadian Prime Minister.  It seems that he only wants to hurt Canada, and Canadians.  Please do NOT vote for him, during this year's election!

Why do I think this?

Originally, I saw a YouTube video entitled, This Drunk Driving Legislation is Terrible.  Here's a link for you to click on, so you can watch and/or listen to what was stated:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg1KkNXtBoA.

Hopefully, you listened to it.  If you did, you would not have liked what you heard.

Why?

I heard that a driver can be checked in many ways.  Many ways that don't seem legal to me.

Here is an article cbc.ca that is entitled, Canada's new impaired driving laws 'taking away constitutional rights,' says defence lawyerhttps://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/as-it-happens-tuesday-edition-1.4950862/canada-s-new-impaired-driving-laws-taking-away-constitutional-rights-says-defence-lawyer-1.4950867.

Hopefully, you read that article.  I've decided to share some of the information with you (I copied/pasted):

Police can now ask for a breath sample from any driver they lawfully stop, without evidence of inebriation.

Canada's new impaired driving laws will allow police to violate people's constitutional rights, unfairly target people of colour and detain people without due cause, says defence lawyer Scott Newman.
The legislation, which came into effect this week, gives police officers the right to ask for a breath sample from any driver they lawfully stop, lowering the bar from the previous legislation, which required that an officer have reasonable suspicion that a person had been drinking.
Newman spoke to As It Happens host Carol Off about why he believes the new rules go too far. Here is some of what he had to say.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving says it will cut down on the amount of impaired driving in Canada by as much as 20 per cent and possibly save 200 lives every year. So why do you have a problem with it?
Wow!

Do you wonder why this would upset me?

After all, I was a member of Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD), years ago.

However, some people don't realize that even though the police may not have a reason to test someone regarding drunk driving, police have a right to follow someone home.  And, if the driver never had drank anything previously, but began to drink something at home, police could test that person at home, and that person may be charged for drunk driving, even though they are NOT driving at that time.

Why would I think this?  I don't think it.  I saw and heard about it on the video.

To me, this means that if a police officer doesn't like someone, than that person could be falsely accused, arrested and convicted.

How awful!  Even so, I believe God would deal with that person.

Thinking of that and what God would do, made me think of Proverbs 19:9, "A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.".

Amen!  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

Yes, people can be lied about, by police, now.

Just so you know, in the past, I saw how police did lie, at times.  Not always.  But, some did.

Even so, I believe that anyone who is a born again Christian will NOT lie and try to hurt someone.  So, I hope that police will all be born again Christians.

I believe that they will instead... forgive the person if they feel hurtful for any reason.

Then not only will the person who hurt you be forgiven, but God will bless you.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
