Persuaded...

Hopefully, you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry.  If you didn't, then I would suggest you read it, now.

Why?

Because even though I mentioned yesterday, about having more surgery and why I had some in the past, I decided to let you know about more, today.

As I mentioned yesterday, I had to have several surgeries.

At first, I was told everything had gone well.  But, it was found that it hadn't.

Eventually, I was told that they found out that the mesh that was inside me was basically okay... but, a small amount of the mesh had become infected.  Which was why I had so many surgeries.

At that time, I was told that I needed a different surgeon.  In fact, there was only four (4) surgeons in our Province of Ontario, that could help me.  But, two (2) surgeons weren't available, because they weren't taking anymore patients.

Sigh...

Yes, I saw a surgeon in Toronto.  He made it clear to me that the surgeon who had done the surgery over again so many times, had done damage.  Apparently, when the not great surgeon had repaired my hernia, he hadn't removed the old mesh, and added new mesh overtop... which caused a health problem inside me... and Abscess.

That Toronto surgeon said that he would do my surgery, but he didn't.  You see, his hospital wouldn't allow him to do surgery on everyone in the Province of Ontario.  He had tried to get the not great surgeon who had hurt me, to help him get approval to do surgery for me, in Windsor.  Did that not great Windsor surgeon do it?  NO.

Eventually, I had to go to London, Ontario, to see the last available surgeon.

When I saw that London surgeon, he shook my hand and held it.  He said he wanted me to know that he would do my surgery for me.

I asked him how he could know what to do.  That London surgeon laughed, and let me know that he was friends with the Toronto surgeon who couldn't do my surgery.  He also let me know that the Toronto surgeon contacted him, sent all my info and suggested that if he didn't hear from me, then he should contact me and do the surgery.

Wow!

What a blessing it was to have met this surgeon!

Yes, he did my surgery.

I was cut open from my ribs to my pelvis.  Every piece of mesh was removed and that London surgeon dealt with the abscess I had obtained from what had been done wrong in me earlier.

Because I wasn't able to have mesh again, my muscles had to be used to reconstruct me.

Each muscle was cut... stretched... double laid over, and sewed up.  Yes, EACH and EVERY muscle.  Then after, I was sewed up.

Yes, I was happy that the Abscess was dealt with.  If it hadn't been dealt with, then it could have killed me.

You need to know that before I had that surgery, my daughter and I had been told that I needed to have a will made... and I needed to be prepared to die... because, MOST people DO NOT live through that type of surgery.

When I awoke in the recovery room at the hospital, I recall saying... 'Lord!  How could I have survived?  I thought I'd be in Heaven!'

Obviously, God loved me, and wanted me to still be here on earth.

Thinking of that, made me think of Romans 8:38-39, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.".

Amen!  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Yes, He loved me so very much, that I was not separated from Him.  He obviously helped me survive such a serious and dangerous surgery!
All I can say at this time, is like what I said at that time... thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
