Yes? NO!

Hopefully, you read yesterday's entry on Life with Lynnie (LwL).  If you didn't, please read it, now.

Why?

I shared information and a video on baptism.

As I mentioned yesterday on LwL, we truly all need to be baptized.

Have you been baptized?

I've been baptized... twice!

Yes, two (2) times!

As a baby, my parents had me baptized, at a church where they used to worship.  But, as an adult, I was baptized, again.

Why?

When we are born, we are born sinful.  And, we have not yet gained salvation.

As I mentioned, some church groups baptize infants.  Some baptize infants because they believe that then the infant will have gained salvation and become part of God's family.

Is that true?

NO!

We don't gain salvation by being baptized.  We need to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... first... and then, be baptized.

Thinking of that, made me think of Mark 16:16, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.".

Amen!  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

So, tell me... do you think that any infant has already believed upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, before being baptized?

NO, they haven't.

That's why we need to grow, gain salvation and then, be baptized.

When we do that, God blesses us.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
