Toronto? Everywhere!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), there's something I feel I need to let you know about.

It's about something that's happened in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Here is a link for the article by truenorthinitiative.com that is entitled, GORDON: Report From Seaton House Outside Toronto's Largest Homeless Shelterhttps://www.truenorthinitiative.com/report_from_seaton_house?fbclid=IwAR3HlAv4Uw7QQYvNTCQeim9jIqcWgdWtnJFaWWVin3OYOH0n0TObDWyXShk.

Did you click on the link and read the article?  Here is some of what was stated (I copied/pasted):

January 11, 2019
Toronto’s temperature plummeted from mild, above-freezing temperatures throughout the first three days of the week to a damp, bitter minus 11 degrees Celcius by Thursday evening as a steady stream of homeless Torontonians filed into the city’s largest homeless shelter, filling its capacity of over 600 beds.
Seaton House, located on 339 George Street -- just blocks away from the old Maple Leafs Garden and Eaton Centre -- was supposed to be shuttered back in 2017, but has had its life prolonged due to a lack of funds to replace its beds elsewhere and a growing demand for shelter from those without homes.
It also stated (I copied/pasted):

Most of the new demand on Toronto’s shelter system has come from people irregularly (i.e. illegally) entering the country at much higher rates over the past two years.

Here's also what was stated (I copied/pasted):

“As of January 9, 2019, almost 40 per cent of all shelter users in the City’s system were refugee/asylum claimants.”

Sigh...

Hopefully, you realize I find this to be not perfect.

Even though refugees are being helped, is everyone else?

NO.

There are people here in Ontario, Canada, and other cities, and provinces anywhere in Canada, who have nowhere to live.

Yes, I've seen people living on streets in various places.  And, so have other people.  Many have seen homeless people.

So this upsets me, that our government is providing for even some illegal people who have entered Canada, yet is not helping Canadians, who truly need help.

So, I pray for our federal government of Canada, our provincial government, and even city workers.  For they need to be able to do good work... not just for refugees and/or illegal immigrants.  But, also for Canadians.

Thinking of that, made me think of Titus 3:1, "Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,".

Amen!  Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Yes, good work needs to be done.

Please pray... that our governments and yours, will do good work for everyone, who needs help.

Thank you.

If you pray, I believe God will bless you.

Until next time...
