Thankful!

Did you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry?  If you haven't, then I would suggest you do, now.

Why?

Because I am going to let you know a bit more about the last person I wrote about, yesterday.

That friend of mine, who had died, wasn't feeling well.  Just as I had mentioned.

However, he was truly a wonderful person.  A true blessing.

Not just because he was a friend of mine.  But, also because when we first met on Facebook (FB), he was a fairly new born again Christian.

As he had told me, he was grateful that he had gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Even though he hadn't been well much, he did more and more for Him on FB.  Plus, he became a minister, and helped people to also become born again Christians.

A lady he helped to know Jesus, who also gained salvation, became a friend of mine also on FB.

Last year, when I was traveling, we met and enjoyed time, together.  To me, it was truly a blessing meeting both him and her.

I should let you know that after midnight, on the day that his life ended, he texted me.  Yes, he was still alive at that time.

We chatted for a while.  Then, I had to let him know I needed to get some sleep.

He let me know that he was having trouble breathing, again.  And, he let me know he thought his life would be ending.

I prayed.

Instead of 'goodnight'... he said to me... GOD night.  :)

That made me smile.  And, when I prayed more, before I fell asleep, I asked God to heal him, but if it wasn't His will for my friend to be healed, that He would take him home so that he would suffer no more.

Yes, I believed he would enter Heaven, some day.

Thinking of that, made me think of Matthew 7:21, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.".

Amen!  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Even though I knew my friend would some day enter Heaven, I had no idea that his life would end that day.  But, it did... about 4 pm.

I'm so very thankful that I knew this man, who did so much work for God and had fulfilled the will of God.

I'm so very thankful that he will spend eternity in Heaven, with our Lord.

I'm so very thankful that someday, I'll also see him, in Heaven.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
