There's something I feel I need to discuss, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
It's something I do not do. I'm grateful for that!
However, it is something that some people I know, do.
To me, it's truly upsetting.
Why?
Do I think it hurts me?
No.
It's what I believe truly hurts God.
What is it?
Some people I know claim to be Christian. And, claim to read the Bible.
Yet, they don't always do what the Bible, God's Word, shows us to do.
After all, some of those people do NOT go and worship, with church family. Even though God wants us to do that.
Just as we read, in Hebrews 10:24-25, "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.".
Amen! And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Wow! Hopefully you read those Bible verses, and realize that we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together.
What does 'forsaking' mean? Abandon, desert, relinquish, disclaim, discard... and more information, as the Google website showed me, and would show you, if you looked.
Now, I'm sure you know why I feel that people who claim they are Christian, who do NOT go and worship with church family, truly hurt God.
After all, He wants us to get together, and worship.
If you don't, then on our day of judgement, when we stand before Christ, Jesus may speak to you, and tell you to get away from Him, for He never knew you. Just as another Bible verse tells us so that we will know that we may not have salvation, for we may not have truly trusted in/believed upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
I do it. I worship with church family.
Do you?
If not, please... begin to do it.
Decide where you would like to go to get together with fellow Christians, and worship.
If you don't feel comfortable at that location, then go somewhere else on the next Sunday... the day when we Christians are to gather together to fulfill God's Word, and honour Him.
If you do, I believe God will bless you.
Until next time...
