If you haven't read yesterday's entry of Life with Lynnie (LwL), please do so now. Before you read, today's entry.
Why?
Well, partially because you need to know about what God revealed to me through an e-mail I received from a relative of mine. But, also because you will then understand why God let me receive that e-mail message before what happened, that I'll let you know about.
Yes, with family members, I've talked about God. I've even given them Bibles to read.
Do they read them? I don't believe they do.
Most don't read God's Word, the Bible. And, most also do not go to worship. This also means they do not learn or grow closer to God, or even gain salvation.
Now, I'll tell you about something that happened.
At first, I was so broken-hearted that I didn't want to even mention any of this information to anyone. But, after I heard what later happened, I decided it was important for me to tell you.
You see, one of my relatives was going to have a tattoo done.
To many people in this era, it's okay. But, to anyone who truly reads God's Word, the Bible and belongs to Him, they realize it shouldn't be done.
In the past, I've let almost every local family member know that God has told us to NOT obtain a tattoo.
Just as we read in NKJV, in Leviticus 19:28, "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.".
Amen! You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.
Did any of my family members, or their family members listen to what I said? No. Did they listen to what God said? No.
However, I want to tell you that when I was going to see my family members the day I found out that one of them was going to have a tattoo done, I saw him outside of where he lives. I spoke with him. I showed him my Bible. I opened the Bible, read today's Bible verse to him, and wrote it down. I let him know that I was going to comment about that, and read the Bible verse with the family, and would give him the written version.
He didn't seem upset. I was glad.
However, did he not do it? He did. He sinned. He had the tattoo done on his body.
The next day, I found out that after he had the tattoo done, he met up with a friend of his, who was driving and stopped to speak with him.
For some reason, my family member had reached to get some money to give his friend. When his friend saw that he had a handful of money, his friend grabbed it, and began driving away.
My family member apparently kept holding onto the car, and kept trying to get his money back from his friend, who virtually robbed him.
Yes, my family member was robbed. And, wasn't feeling physically well, afterwards.
Did God help him? No.
Why not?
Does he belong to God?
I don't believe so. And, I feel that because he learned that he shouldn't have done what God didn't want him to do, yet went and did it to hurt God, then... God didn't help him.
Yes, I believe that this family member and some other relatives also need to gain salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Salvation is so very important. And, so is... God!
But, everyone also needs to read God's Word, the Bible. And, accept what God tells everyone, by learning what God expects of us.
After all, whatever we do, we will receive in different ways. Depending upon what we do.
I feel I need to let you know that if you do not read God's Word, the Bible... then please do it. Be educated. And grow closer to God.
For almost 27 years, I've read the entire Bible, every year!
If you haven't yet done that, please do read the entire Bible.
If you do, you'll learn so very much. And, God will bless you.
Thank You, Lord!
