As I'm sure you realize, today is a special day, not just here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), but everywhere.
It's our day of worship.
I worship. Hopefully, you worship, also.
Of course, I also enjoy worshiping through music. So, I'll share with you some music, today.
Here is a song by Go Fish that is entitled, It's About The Cross: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dk9DzwnCvxM. If you click on the link, you'll notice that this version of that song, is actually entitled, Christmas is about the Cross? By go Fish!. Of course, you'll be able to listen to it and/or sing along. The lyrics are below.
It's About The Cross
It's not just about the manger
Where the baby lay
It's not all about the angels
Who sang for him that day
It's not just about the shepherds
Or the bright and shining star
It's not all about the wise men
Who traveled from afar
It's about the cross
It's about my sin
It's about how Jesus came to be born once
So that we could be born again
It's about the stone
That was rolled away
So that you and I could have real life someday
It's about the cross
It's about the cross
It's not just about the presents
Underneath the tree
It's not all about the feeling
That the season brings to me
It's not just about coming home
To be with those you love
It's not all about the beauty
In the snow I'm dreaming of
It's about the cross
It's about my sin
It's about how Jesus came to be born once
So that we could be born again
It's about the stone
That was rolled away
So that you and I could have real life someday
It's about the cross
The beginning of the story is wonderful and great
But it's the ending that can save you and that's why we celebrate
It's about the cross
It's about my sin
It's about how Jesus came to be born once
So that we could be born again
It's about God's love
Nailed to a tree
It's about every drop of blood that flowed from Him when it should have been me
It's about the stone
That was rolled away
So that you and I could have real life someday
So that you and I could have real life someday
It's about the cross
It's about the cross
How wonderful!
Not only did I like the music, but enjoyed what the lyrics stated.
After all, Jesus came to earth to be born, so that we could be born again.
At the end of the YouTube video where the song was played, a Bible verse was stated. So, I decided to share it with you.
It was... John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.".
What a blessing it is, that God the Father sent His only begotten Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ to earth, so that whoever believeth upon Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I've trusted in/believed upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, so I have gained salvation and everlasting life.
Have you?
If not yet, please... do so, today.
Tomorrow... may be too late.
Until next time...
