Before I begin today's entry, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I would like to let you know something. Today, is the anniversary of one of my granddaughter's life and death. If she had lived and not died on the same day, today would have been her birthday, 20 years ago. So, today is also the anniversary of both her birthday and her death. I miss you, dear. Even though I am sad, I'm looking forward to seeing you some day, in Heaven.
Today, is another special day, here on LwL.
Yes, today is our day of worship!
As I've always mentioned, we can also worship through music, in addition to our time of worship with church family. So, today, I'll share with you some music.
A Facebook (FB) friend of mine shared this music with me, as a message. To be honest, I had never before heard it. But, I thought it was wonderful.
The song is by Becky Fender and is on YouTube, even though we don't know who sang it. It is entitled, I Give You Jesus. Here is a link for you to click on, so you can listen to and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_zkI_BwhXw&feature=youtu.be. The lyrics are below.
I Give You Jesus
If the ship of your life
Is tossing on the sea of strife
You need someone
If your house is not a home
And you feel so alone
You need someone
If it seems life isn't fair
And there's no one left to share
All your lonely days and nights and things
It seems like nothing turns out right
And, you need someone to care
Someone to just be there
You need someone
So, I give you Jesus
He's the peace that passes all understanding
Oh yes, He is...
I give you Jesus
He's the perfect love
That casteth out all fear
Oh, I give you Jesus
He's the water that you drink
And never thirst
You never thirst again
No, I give you Jesus
My friend...
I give you Jesus
Now if the pressure's all around
And, keeps your spirits to the ground
Well then, you need someone
If your body is in pain
Seems your health you can't regain
You need someone
If at times that you have tried
With all the strength you had inside
It seems you have failed
Remember on the cross He nailed
All your bitterness and grief
To give you a peace and sweet relief
Don't you know the Lord
He is that someone that you need
So I give you Jesus
He's the peace that passes all understanding
Oh yes, He is
I give you Jesus
He's the perfect love that casteth out all fear
I give you Jesus
You see He's the water that you drink
And I guarantee you'll never thirst again
I give you Jesus
My friend, I give you Jesus
See He is the one you need
I give you Jesus
Oh my friend
He's standing there
And he's got His arms open wide for you
I give you Jesus
Oh my friend
There's nobody else
That gives His life for you
Oh I give you Jesus
Oh my friend
I give you Jesus
I give you Jesus
Amen!
This singer is giving people Jesus. Just as I do here on Life with Lynnie. And, just as many of us do, when we meet people who need Jesus.
But, the reality is that even though we give Jesus to people, here on earth... God originally gave Jesus to us.
Just as we read, in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.".
Amen! For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
What a special gift! Hallelujah!
I have gained salvation and everlasting life, because I trusted in/believed upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Have you?
If you haven't yet, please do so today.
Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...
