Sad, Praise & Please Pray...

Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) blog entry, I would like to let you know that today is a day when my heart feels broken.  Why?  Today, is the anniversary of my dad's death.  Yes, I think of him, and feel grief.  After all... I miss him... and love him.

Something happened that I feel I need to let you know about.  It's not regarding me, or my family.

It's regarding some information I received from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), once again.

Yes, I received another e-mail from ACLJ.  And, it truly touched my heart, for it was a message that is regarding someone other than who we've been trying to help, who has been hurt.

Here is a copy of the e-mail I received (I copied/pasted):

Lynn,

It's an ultimatum: Boko Haram has promised to kill a Christian teen held captive this month.

A 15-year-old Christian girl - a child - was abducted and is being held captive.

Boko Haram - the Nigerian jihadist army pledged to ISIS - stormed a village and abducted 110 schoolgirls. Five were killed. 104 were eventually freed.

Yet one brave teen named Leah Sharibu remains a prisoner because she will not renounce her Christian faith.

Nigerian Christians are being targeted, abused, and murdered by sadistic jihadist militias like Boko Haram. Their government seems unable or unwilling to stop this deadly persecution.

We must take action to save Leah Sharibu and defend our Christian brothers and sisters.

We've delivered a critical oral intervention at the U.N. on behalf of Nigeria's Christians.
Today we're sending a critical legal advocacy letter to the government of Nigeria demanding it act to free Leah.

Christian children must be protected. Leah Sharibu must be brought home safely. Now she urgently needs YOU before it's too late.

Sigh...

If you are American, please click on the link for the petition, and sign it.  Thank you for wanting to help that child who is being hurt and imprisoned.

This is truly upsetting to me, and has made me sad.  After all, many of our Christian brothers and sisters are suffering big time!

Yesterday, you also read about how ACLJ e-mailed me, regarding Asia Bibi, again.  But afterwards, I received this e-mail that truly touched my heart again, since this message talked about Leah Sharibu, who needs protection... from Muslims who are partners of the group... ISIS.

Even though it was upsetting to me, as I'm sure it is to family and friends of anyone suffering by Muslims who do anything they can to hurt them, I pray to God.

After all, He let us know that we who belong to Him, will have fiery trials in our life.

Just as we read, in 1 Peter 4:12, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:".

Amen!   Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:.

Please, join me in prayer for Leah Sharibu.

Although I have not suffered like some Christians have been suffering by Muslims, I've had fiery trials in my life.

Have you?

If you have, I pray that you've come to Christ.  I pray that you've gained salvation and everlasting life, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

After all, He provides for us and helps us through troubles and/or trials in our lives, when we belong to Him... forever.  This makes me praise Him!

After all, for what He does for us, I'm thankful.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
