Even though our law here in Canada was changed regarding Marijuana/Cannabis last week, by our Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, I'll share with you an article that is not Canadian.
The article that contains a Fox video as well, I am sharing with you, is by godfatherpolitics.com and is entitled, Car Accidents Soar in States with Legal Marijuana Laws: https://godfatherpolitics.com/car-accidents-soar-in-states-with-legal-marijuana-laws/?fbclid=IwAR1nmSw_-Ayw5tRgbekf-QIMbGA_kqUQ7rTMGrRe3zLW64Y7xMsB8iIlP8g.
Did you read the article and the video? I'm not sharing the entire article, but am sharing part of it (I copied/pasted):
A review of states that have legalized recreational marijuana finds that car accidents have skyrocketed.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and Highway Loss Data Institute released a new study Thursday showing an unintended consequence to legalizing pot — but maybe one that should surprise no one.
“Drugged driving is quickly becoming an epidemic as Big Marijuana continues to spread its false promises that pot is safe,” Dr. Kevin Sabet, president of Smart Approaches to Marijuana, said. “These studies prove that is not the case. People are paying with their lives, and it’s evident the problem isn’t going away.”
Sigh...It is upsetting to me, reading what is happening, in USA. However, I am also heartbroken about the fact that as I mentioned last week, here on LwL, the same thing will happen now, here in Canada, since our Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau made it legal for the use of Marijuana/Cannabis.
Some people thought that it was just becoming legal to be used, for medical use.
That's not true.
Why? Because, in the past, Marijuana/Cannabis has been used for people medically, here in Canada. How do I know this? A relative of mine, has been treated that way by a doctor.
So, please understand that whoever uses the Marijuana/Cannabis drug to get high with, they may end up doing drugged driving, just as we read in today's article I shared with you.
Should fellow Christians fall into temptation, to use Marijuana/Cannabis, not for medical use, but to get high? I don't believe so.
Thinking of this, made me think of James 1:12-16, "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.".Amen! Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Yes, many who are Christian endureth temptation. However, those of us who truly belong to our Lord, are not tempted by Him.
If the temptation is dealt with by using the drug, then it shows Him that those people are sinning, that could bring death.
So, as we read in today's Bible verses, do not err/sin, my beloved brethren.
Just look to God, and He will help you.
For this, I am truly thankful.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
