Memory & Answered Prayer...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be reminding you about something.

Not about worship.  Just as we need to do, today.

Not about music, even though we can use music to worship.  Just as I normally share with you.

It's something that I have a memory of.

What is it?

I recall that on this date... September 30th, many years ago I was driving a 44 foot long school bus.  As I was driving, my bus was hit by a tractor-trailer driver, who failed to stop at a stop sign that he was supposed to stop at.

If you would like to read about what happened during the collision, and how both my youngest daughter and I were affected, please feel free to read the chapter I wrote about it in the book I wrote previously:  Love Never Fails You...

Do I like discussing it?  Not really.  But, even though it's upsetting thinking about this collision and what happened, I do appreciate telling people about it.  For when I do, they are told about how God answered my prayer.  And, provided for me and my daughter, P...

I must admit that I don't really even enjoy remembering how awful it was.  And, how my life was affected.

Even so, I am thankful that God has helped me.  Not just at that time, but also ever since.

Thinking of how He helped us during the collision, made me think of John 15:7, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."".

Amen!  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Not just now, but even at that time in my life, I abided in Him.  And, His words abided in me.  For this, I am thankful, and always will be.

Why?

Well, if you're aware about what happened during the collision, you'll know that both my daughter, P... and I survived.  Our lives didn't end.  However, we do suffer.

Physical things happened.  But, we were able to carry on with life.  And, will continue to do so.

I must admit that I am truly thankful that I asked of Him, and He provided.  If He hadn't, our lives possibly would have ended.

What had I asked?

I asked that He protect my daughter, P... and not let her die.  I asked Him to save her life... and mine.

He did!

Hallelujah!

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
