Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be letting you know about what today is.

Today, is SONday!  It's when we are to worship God, just as I've said in the past.

Last weekend was a special weekend for Canada, for people celebrated Happy Canada Day

However, when I attended a worship service, a hymn was sung that I decided to share with you.

The hymn was actually an American hymn, but it was sung for the Canadian anniversary.  So, I decided to share it with you, since USA also celebrated their Independence Day, on July 4th.

They hymn was by Samuel F. Smith and is entitled, My Country, 'Tis of Thee.  Here is a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  The lyrics are below.

My Country, 'Tis of Thee (Baptist Hymnal)

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing:
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From ev'ry mountainside
Let freedom ring!

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love:
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills;
My heart with rapture thrills
Like that above.

Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees
Sweet freedom's song:
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break,
The sound prolong.

Our Fathers' God, to thee,
Author of liberty,
To Thee we sing:
Long may our land be bright
With freedom's holy light;
Protect us by Thy might,
Great God, our King!

How amazing!

Thinking about our Lord, I thought about Psalm 95:3, " For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods."

Our Lord IS a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Hopefully, you love the same Lord that I do.

If so, we'll see each other in Heaven when our lives end, here on earth.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
