Rest...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing something that I enjoy. 

It is something that actually occurred on Monday, May 21st, 2018.  It was our Canadian... Victoria Day, as you're probably aware, if you read LwL, then.

To be honest, I'm not going to discuss that special statutory holiday that we have here in Canada.

I'll just let you know that I truly enjoy having holiday times.  Long weekends, we call them.

If you don't live in Canada, then I must say that I believe that your country also has long weekends. 

As I'm sure you're aware, long weekends are usually including Monday, as part of the weekend.  So, by having an extra day to make a weekend longer, it gives each and every one of us who don't have to work that day, more time to relax.  And, rest!

Every weekend, we have a Sunday.  A day when we worship and honour God.

Of course, in order to worship and honour our Lord, we need to know Him.  After all, He wants us to.

Just as we read, in Matthew 11:29, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Amen!  Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

How can we take His yoke upon us?

All we truly need to do to get to know Him, and grow close to Him, and learn of Him, is to come to Jesus.  Trust in/believe upon Him, and you will gain salvation and eternal life.

Once you've done this, you'll then read God's Word, the Bible. 

Then, you'll learn of Him, even more.  And, shall find rest unto your souls.

For this, we all need to be thankful!
