Opioid Crisis!

There's something I feel I need to discuss, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).  It's something that I believe many people are being hurt by.

Even though this is another article that I hadn't read or heard about in the past, I read it and felt sick in my heart, recently.

Hopefully, you clicked on the article and read it.  And, watched/listened to the video that was on the article.  In case you couldn't, I decided to share with you part of what was stated (I copied/pasted):

A network of Canadian families, whose loved ones have died due to substance use, has sent hundreds of photos and stories to the prime minister’s office in hopes of invoking an emotional response to the opioid crisis.

By sending the photos, Moms Stop the Harm was hoping to put a face to the significant number of people who have died in Canada as a result of the opioid crisis.

Here's more of what was stated (I copied/pasted):

On Tuesday, NDP MP Don Davies brought up the campaign in question period at the House of Commons and called Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s response to the crisis “glacial.”

“The prime minister has ignored our calls to declare the opioid crisis a national public health emergency,” Davies said. “How many more Canadians need to die before he finally listens?”
But it wasn’t Trudeau who responded. Instead, it was Health Minister Ginette Petipas Taylor.

“The first thing the prime minister could have done was spoken to the families in Canada affected by the opioid crisis, to the families that have lost loved ones and more importantly, to the families who have loved ones struggling,” Shulz said.

“Instead, he let the health minister take his place, who mostly delivered a prepared statement,” she said.

Moms Stop the Harm wasn’t just looking for words of encouragement, they wanted action and an acknowledgement that Shulz says could destigmatize those who are struggling with addictions.

“Because… people who use substances, they’re stigmatized at all levels of society and also by our prime minister,” she said. “He’s the leader of our country, so I expect him to take this seriously.”

Shulz wants to see an end to the stigma and hopes one day, drug issues will be treated as health issues instead of criminal matters. She also wants to see an investment in harm reduction measures from the federal government and access to more readily available treatment across the country.

Oooohhhh...  When I read this article, I was truly upset.  Hurt in my heart.

Why?  Because I know of someone who had been issued a drug to help them with pain, etc.  Instead of helping, that person became addicted.  And, due to not being able to heal, and/or stop taking that drug, the person committed suicide.

Why isn't our Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau helping people?  Why isn't he doing what he can to stop this problem from happening?  After all, these people are Canadians!

To me, he's sinning. 

He's not doing things to help Canadians, even though he is the prime minister of Canada.

But then, as I've said in the past, I believe that Justin Trudeau is not wanting Canada to do well.  He'd rather have it hurt badly, for then he could help the province of Quebec, separate from Canada.

I believe that since Justin Trudeau doesn't seem to be Christian, he needs to become Christian.  After all, if he doesn't belong to God, then he has a father who is... Satan, the devil (I'm not referring to his dad, who was also a Canadian Prime Minister). 

I feel this way, because I believe he lies.  And, doesn't care about truth.

Thinking of this, made me think of John 8:44, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Amen!  Please realize that Justin Trudeau truly needs to become a born again Christian.

Please, pray that Justin Trudeau will trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, to gain salvation.  When he does this, his heart will change.  And, he'll be blessed by Him for becoming a believer.
