There's something I'll discuss today, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL). It's what we need to do every SONday!
What is it?
Worship!
As I've said in the past, I worship. Do you? I hope so!
Also like I've said in the past, I also enjoy worshiping through music. :)
Last SONday, I mentioned that while I was searching for the non-Christian song that I shared with you, a couple of weeks ago, I had found that song I shared with you, last SONday. I also mentioned that I had found a second (2nd) song. So, I decided to share that with you, today.
The song is non-Christian, also. It's by Nat King Cole and is entitled, Because You're Mine. Here is a link for you to click on, to listen to and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOPc6hpSulc. The lyrics are below.
Because You're Mine
Because you're mine
The brightest star I see
Looks down, my love, and envies me
Because you're mine, because you're mine
Because you're mine
The breeze that hurries by
Becomes a melody and why?
Because you're mine, because you're mine
I only know for as long as I may live
I'll only live for the kiss that you alone may give me
And when we kiss
That isn't thunder, dear
It's only my poor heart you hear and its applause
Because you're mine
I only know for as long as I may live
I'll only live for the kiss that you alone may give me
And when we kiss
That isn't thunder, dear
It's only my poor heart you hear and its applause
Because you're mine
Amen! Because You're mine... it's only my poor heart You, hear... Lord. But, because I'm Yours, the brightest star I see looks down, my love, and envies me, because You're mine.
Yes, I believe that this song came to me, not just that God loves me, but also because I love God.
Thinking of about my love for God, I thought of 1 John 4:19, "We love him, because he first loved us."
Amen! We love Him, because He first loved us!
He loved us so much, even before we were scheduled to be born, that He sent His only begotten Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, to earth. Jesus gave His life, and paid the price for the sin of all the world, of all who would believe upon Him.
By trusting in/believing upon Him, we then gain salvation and will live an eternal life. And, when our life on earth ends, we'll spent eternity in Heaven.
For this, I'm thankful. And, always will be.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
