As you've heard me say before, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), today is our Lord's Day!
It's a day when we honour Him. And, worship!
Of course, if you know me, you know that I also enjoy worshiping though music.
So, I decided to share with you a song that I thought was unique. It's not a hymn.
It's a song on YouTube that a friend shared with me on Facebook (FB) several weeks ago.
The song is by Dan Seals and is entitled, One Friend. Here is a link for you to click on, so you can listen to and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxXP20GUafY. The lyrics are below.
One Friend
I always thought you were the best
I guess I always will
I always felt that we were blessed
And I feel that way still
Sometimes we took the hard road
But we always saw it through
If I had only one friend left
I'd want it to be you
Sometimes the world was on our side
Sometimes it wasn't fair
Sometimes it gave a helping hand
Sometimes we didn't care
'Cause when we were together
It made the dream come true
If I had only one friend left
I'd want it to be you
Someone who understands me
And knows me inside out
And helps keep me together
And believes without a doubt
That I could move a mountain
Someone to tell it to
If I had only one friend left
I'd want it to be you
'Cause when we were together
It made the dream come true
If I had only one friend left
I'd want it to be you
Someone who understands me
And knows me inside out
And helps keep me together
And believes without a doubt
That I could move a mountain
Someone to tell it to
If I had only one friend left
I'd want it to be you
Amen!
If I had only one friend left... I'd want it to be You.
Sorry, I'm not referring to you, my dear reader. Or, anyone who is a friend or relative.
I'm referring to Jesus. After all, He told us that we who belong to Him, are friends.
Just as we read, in John 15:15, "Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."
Amen! Jesus told us... I call you not servants; for the servant knoeth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Hallelujah!
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
