Say?

As I've done here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'm going to share something with you.  Especially, since it's our day of worship.

Yes, we worship in spirit and truth.  But, as I've said before, we can also worship through music.  And/or relate to God through music.

For some reason, I've had a song on my heart and mind, when I awoke each day for a while.

The song is by Dusty Springfield and is entitled, You Don't Have To Say You Love Me.  Here is a link from YouTube, for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvqOZ4Gvn2E.  The lyrics are below.

You Don't Have To Say You Love Me

When I said, I needed you
You said you would always stay
It wasn't me who changed, but you
And now you've gone away

Don't you see that now you've gone
And I'm left here on my own
That I have to follow you
And beg you to come home

You don't have to say you love me
Just be close at hand
You don't have to stay forever
I will understand
Believe me, believe me
I can't help but love you
But believe me, I'll never tie you down

Left alone with just a memory
Life seems dead and so unreal
All that's left is loneliness
There's nothing left to feel

You don't have to say you love me
Just be close at hand
You don't have to stay forever
I will understand
Believe me, believe me

You don't have to say you love me
Just be close at hand
You don't have to stay forever
I will understand
Believe me, believe me
Believe me

Why this song was on my heart and mind, didn't seem to matter to me.  However, I realized that there had to be a reason for it, since it happened for several days.

Even though all the lyrics don't seem to apply, I realized that our Lord would never tie me down.

He made it clear to me that I never have to say... I love Him.  Even though I do.

I just need to be close at hand, as the lyrics state.

Why would I think this?

Because He loves me.  And, always will.

Thinking of this, made me think of 1 John 4:16, "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."

Amen!

Just as we read in today's Bible verse, we who belong to Him, have known and believed the love that God has for us.

God IS love.

And, he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

It's for this reason that I know that even though I tell Him over and over, every day... that I love Him, He doesn't truly need me to say it to Him.  For He knows I truly love Him.

And, always will.

Until next time...
