I'll Never Find Another You...

There's something I feel I need to let you know about, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).

Not just that today is SONday.  Our day of worship.

But, also about something else.

It's about a friend of mine, who died on Saturday, November 25th.  I attended her funeral on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017.

Yes, it's not nice losing a family member or friend.  Especially, when they have suffered, like my friend, K did... with cancer.

However, before she died, K arranged how she wanted her funeral to be held.

As I mentioned previously, on December 24th, 2017... Christmas Eve, she wanted Silent Night played and sung at her funeral.  So, at K's funeral, we sang it.

However, there was another song that K wanted us to sing.  Yes, we were told she wanted everyone to sing it.  So, we did.

The song we sang was entitled, I'll Never Find Another You.  Here is a link for you to listen to and/r sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZtxNqI1tIs.  The lyrics are below.

I'll Never Find Another You

There's a new world somewhere
They call the promised land.
And I'll be there someday
If you will hold my hand.
I still need you there beside me
No matter what I do
For I know I'll never find another you.

There is always someone
For each of us, they say.
And you'll be my someone
Forever and a day.
I could search the whole world over
Until my life is through
But I know I'll never find another you.

It's a long, long journey
So stay by my side.
When I walk through the storm
You'll be my guide, be my guide.
If they gave me a fortune
My pleasure would be small.
I could lose it all tomorrow
And never mind at all.
But if I should lose your love, dear,
I don't know what I'd do
For I know I'll never find another you.

But if I should lose your love, dear,
I don't know what I'd do.
For I know I'll never find another you.
Another you.
Another you

Another You!

Amen!

Just as the lyrics states, there is a new world somewhere they call the promised land.  In my mind, it's definitely... Heaven.  I'm sure K felt that way.

Why would I think this?

Well, K had been a neighbour of mine for quite a while.  We got together many times.  Quite often, I spoke about the Bible with her.  And, God.

She agreed in so many ways.  For this, I'm thankful.

Of course, I have no idea how many people are truly born again Christians, who attended K's funeral.  Only God knows.

Why is this important to me? The lyrics we sung for today's music I've shared with you, can make many people think that she was relating to them... a family member or friend.

I didn't feel that way.  I felt that the lyrics related well, to Jesus.  And, I believe that K felt that way, as well.

After all, He loved us so much, that He gave His life to pay the price for all the sin of the world, for all who trust in/believe upon Him.

Just as we read, in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Amen!  God gave His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus, so that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Much like what I feel today's music lyrics are referring to.

Why?

We'll never find another You, Lord Jesus!

Until next time...
