He Said...

Hopefully, you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday.

If you did, you'll know that people who parked on grass at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church (WEBC) to attend the funeral/memorial service for pastor Tom Perry's mom who had died, had a problem.

As I mentioned yesterday, those people who couldn't find street parking, or wasn't able to park in the smaller parking lot on the other side of the church building, had to park on the property owned by WEBC, even though there was grass to park on.

Just as was said yesterday, everyone parked there received a parking ticket from the City of Windsor.  And, later after elder Wasi had contacted someone representing the City of Windsor, the tickets were cancelled.  Praise God!

The reason I decided to discuss the grass area, is because I know that WEBC had owned that property for a very long time.

How do I know this?

Well, that part of the church building property wasn't owned by WEBC years ago.  And, being a realtor, I was able to help WEBC obtain almost all that property.

You see, the corner duplex property was owned by someone who knew WEBC's pastor at that time, and others who worshipped there.  So, they sold WEBC the property, privately.

However, the two (2) properties next door to the corner duples on the south side of Lincoln Rd., and the commercial property on Cataraqui St., located beside WEBC's church building on the west side, was sold to WEBC, by me.

You see, not only did WEBC realize they needed more parking, they also felt that the church building could be seen better by people driving up Lincoln Rd., where many people drive.  Plus, they thought that they would then be able to install a sign, also.

Was this plan done?  No.

Why not?

Well, WEBC had some problems, and the pastor who was there years ago, left.  Many people also left, since there was no pastor there for a while.  So, the reduced number of members affected WEBC's ability to do what was required with that property.

Hopefully, since WEBC is doing much better with pastor Tom Perry, they will be able financially to do what is needed on that grass property.

Paving the grass area, creating entrance and installing a sign, won't be cheap.  But, I'm trusting God to help them.  And, I pray.

After all, prayer is important.

Just as we read, in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

Amen!  Jesus said that what things we desire, when we pray, believe that we'll receive them, and we shall have them.

So, I'll keep praying.

Please, join me in prayer.  If you do, I believe God will bless WEBC... and you.

Thank you.

And, thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
