There's something I did and wish to tell you about, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
You probably don't have any idea. But, I'm happy to tell you.
On Saturday, March 24th, 2018, I again went to my friend's church. The same church building I had been at the evening before to see that movie I told you about yesterday... Grace of God.
No, I didn't go there again to see that movie, or any other movie. I went there, because I had been invited to attend a games night. So I did!
Unfortunately, I didn't see my friend, D... and her husband, G. She let me know that they didn't think they could join me and others, because it was their sons birthday. So, they celebrated T's birthday. Happy Birthday, T!
It was due to begin at 7 p.m. I arrived at 6:45 p.m. A young man who was going to be with young fellows let me into the church building. That young man didn't realize there was going to be a games night and thought maybe no one would be there.
By 7:00 p.m., other people began arriving!
All of us divided into two (2) groups, and sat at two (2) different tables. Instead of playing card games, we of each group all played a game called... Mexican Train Dominoes.
Have you ever heard of that game? I hadn't. But, if you'd like to check it out, please click on this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_Train.
Each group played their own game. I was the only person in my group who never had heard of that game, so they taught me, as we played.
No, I didn't win. But, I truly enjoyed playing that game!
Thank you, my brothers and sisters in the Lord! I appreciated playing Mexican Train Dominoes with you!
Of course, everyone had brought snacks and different items to drink. And, I know I feel like I truly enjoyed that as well. :)
I have to admit, I was truly thankful.
Not just thankful that I had a good time again, with these people. I was truly thankful that God had provided these brothers and sisters in the Lord, in the past. And, that we were having joyful time, together.
Thinking of this, made me think of Psalm 32:11, "Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart."
Amen! Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Yes, our Lord, has done so much for me. In so many ways. And, I've truly been thankful and filled with joy.
Not just because of what He's done for me. But, also because He loves me and fills my heart with joy.
All I can say, is... I feel truly blessed by Him.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
