Everybody Hurts...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll let you know that today is a special day.

It's a day of worship.  When we need to worship God.

Of course, as I've done in the past, I'll share with you some music, since we can also worship through music.

But, there's something I need to say.

From time to time, I've discussed about how life can't be easy.  And, how we all experience troubles in life.

After thinking about this, I was reading a blog entry written by another blog writer.  Not me.

The entry he wrote was good, I thought.

No, life wasn't perfect, but what was said and shown in the video he created and shared, related to what I just said about how life can't be easy.  I must admit that the music he played on the video, I thought was wonderful.

What music was it?

It's by R.E.M. and is entitled, Everybody Hurts  If you click on that link, you'll be able to listen to and/or sing along.  The lyrics are below.

Everybody Hurts

When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life, well hang on

Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurts sometimes

Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone (Hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (Hold on)
If you think you've had too much
Of this life, well hang on

Everybody hurts
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts
Don't throw your hand, oh no

Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone
No, no, no, you are not alone

If you're on your own in this life
The days and nights are long
When you think you've had too much of this life to hang on

Well, everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody cries
Everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody hurts sometimes

So hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts

Wow!  When I first heard that song, I was shocked.

Not because it's lyrics says that everybody hurts

After all, God did tell us to not be surprised at the fiery trials we'll have in life.  This basically means that everybody will hurt... in life.

But, I truly enjoyed where the lyrics said... you're not alone.

Why would I think we need to be happy about that part of the lyrics?

Because by having a relationship with God, He will always provide for us.  Especially, since when we have a relationship with Him, we are not alone.

Thinking of this, made me think of John 12:27, "Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour."

Amen!  When we hurt in life, we can feel troubled.  What should we do or say?

We should say... Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

I was happy hearing the lyrics to that song, because we are truly not alone.  God loves us.

He loves us so much, that He sent His only begotten Son, to earth... to pay the price for the sin of all who will believe upon Him... our Lord, Jesus Christ.

We are to gain salvation by trusting in/believing upon Him.

I have.

Have you?

If you haven't yet, do so... today.

Tomorrow may be too late.

Until next time...
