Once again, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be telling you about an event I attended.

No, it's not the women's event I attended last Friday, March 16th, 2018.  It was an event I attended at another church, last Saturday, March 17th, 2018!

The event I attended wasn't a women' group meeting.  There were men, women, and children.

It was a games night meeting!

Where did it happen?  Riverside Baptist Church, here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  If you'd like to check out that church, please click on this link:  https://riversidebaptistchurch.ca/.

On Facebook (FB), my friend who worships there, invited me to attend.  I agreed.

However, since it was scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m., I realized it wasn't just time to spend playing games.  I realized that we would also share dinner together, so I brought some food to contribute to those who would like to enjoy a meal together.

Yes, we did!  We enjoyed a pot luck dinner!  Just like I had done the evening before.  :)

A couple I know sat with me at a smaller table.

We enjoyed having dinner together.  And, visiting with each other.

But, afterwards... we played a game, together!

Unfortunately, I can't recall the name of the card game.  Hopefully, I'll see the container again, in the future.  If it happens, I'll be able to tell you the name.

It was truly a wonderful game!

In the past, I had never heard of it.  Nor, had I ever played that game.

The funny thing is to me, that even though that couple that had sat with me, ate with me, and played that card game with me, didn't win.  I won!  I won both games we played!

I must admit, I was truly thankful.  Not just for the meal, for the time with that couple and many other people I have known for quite a while.  But, also thankful for helping me feel blessed.

Thank You, Lord!

Thinking of being thankful, made me think of 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Amen!  In everything, we need to give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Yes, this is the will of God in Christ Jesus, concerning you.

Why would this concern you?

It would only concern you, if you belong to Him.

I do.  Do you?

In case you're not sure how you can belong to Him, I feel I'll let you know that it isn't difficult.

All you need to do, is to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... and you shall gain salvation, and everlasting life... with Him!

For this, I'm thankful.

Hopefully, you are... or will be, also.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
