Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll let you know about what I did, yesterday!
Yesterday, was our Lord's Day!
A day of worship! Which is exactly what I did.
Early in the afternoon, I attended a prayer session. This was done with my church family.
After, I went and dropped off some things to one of my daughters family. Plus, I had to go see a friend.
Then, it was time to attend the worship service. So, I did!
During the service, my pastor had me sing. A capella is how I sing there. And, I was thankful that I did what I did, to honour God!
A fairly new brother in the Lord, who has begun to attend our worship service, did something special. He let us know he's a writer. He writes not just information, or stories, but he also writes poems!
I must admit, I was happy for him.
We spoke later, as I was leaving. I used to stay after the worship service and share dinner with everyone. But, I didn't, yesterday.
On my way home, I looked at the time. God placed it on my heart, to go and attend a prayer meeting with some brothers and sisters in the Lord, from a church group, where I used to worship. So, I did.
After the prayer session, we all visited with each other. Of course, we all enjoyed coffee and snacks. :)
Just so you know, even though I enjoyed my time with that church group, I truly believe that prayer is important. And, we need to be thankful being able to pray.
Thinking of this, made me think of Philippians 4:6, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
Amen! Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Yes, we need to pray. And, request what we feel is needed, through our prayer time.
When we pray, God is happy to hear from us. He already knows what happens with us, but when we pray and thank Him, we do what He feels we need to.
Talk about being blessed!
Yes, we are then blessed. And, thankful since we let God know what we feel we need and request of Him to provide.
For this, I'm thankful. And, always will be.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
