Prayer Request...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing something.

It's not something that I think is good.  Even though any unbeliever might think it's good.

What is it?

Please read the article by salemnews.com that is entitled, Court rules bakers who refused to make cake for gay couple should pay $135,000 finehttp://www.salemnews.com/cnhi_network/court-rules-bakers-who-refused-to-make-cake-for-gay/article_4ac1454a-699c-5ed8-899f-5ae12fb4e73c.html.

Just reading the title of that article, I'm sure you realize what happened.  Even so, I pray you'll click on the link and read it.

If you read the article, you'd know that it stated (I copied/pasted):

A court of appeals upheld a ruling on Thursday that two bakers discriminated against a lesbian couple by refusing to bake them a cake.

Nine months ago, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries fined Melissa and Aaron Klein $135,000 for discriminating against Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer.

The article also state (I copied/pasted):

During an appeal, the Kleins claimed they had a religious exemption from the Oregon Equality Act, and that the decision by the labor board violated their right to free expression and speech as artists.

The judge did not agree, saying in a ruling that the state did not target them because of their religious beliefs and that the cake was not fully protected speech or art. Read the full decision here.

Sigh...

This shows us that the court didn't care that the Christians were supporting God.  Instead, the court supported sin that is against what God allows, by the gay couple doing what God doesn't want people to do.  Meaning get married.

It shows us that these Christians suffered persecution.

Even so, I'm glad that the Christian couple chose to not sin.  For if they had not chosen to do what they did, and had done what the sinful couple (who are sinning against God) wanted them to do, they would have sinned.

This made me think of James 4:17, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

Amen!  Knowing to do good and doing it not, to him it is sin.

But, this couple didn't sin.

They supported God.  And, His Word, the Bible... that teaches born again Christians who read God's Word, what is sinful and what is not.

Please... join me in prayer for this Christian couple.

May God bless you.

Until next time...
