If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, then you'll know what I did on New Year's Eve!

Today, I'll let you know about what happened to me, on New Year's Day.

In the past, I mentioned that I had attended the Legion, on Howard Ave., south of Hwy. #3, here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

To be honest, I can't recall if I attended the senior's dinner there, more than a couple of times, throughout 2017, even though I had attended the senior's dinner at a different location a couple of times that year, also.

Just so you know, anyone attending the senior's dinner, doesn't have to be a senior. They do not want children to attend, so even if there are younger adults, they are acceptable to join the group for dinner!

In the past, I was always told that at that location where the senior's dinner was held every Monday, it would always happen.  It would never be unavailable, even during holidays of celebration.

I invited my daughter P, and K to join me.  At first, they thought they would, but then they let me know that they couldn't attend.

So, I invited a friend to join me.  She couldn't come.

Then, I tried to reach another person I know who had been at that location for the legion senior's dinner, in the past.  But, I wasn't able to reach her.

So, I went alone.

When I got there, I was shocked to see no cars parked there.  When I went to the entrance, I saw a note on the door, letting people know that due to some reason of something that happened, they couldn't hold the senior's dinner.

I got back into my van, and before I began heading home, I prayed.  I forgave the legion for not being able to hold the senior's dinner, as they always have in the past, even on various holidays.

Even though I felt sad before I prayed, I felt better, after I prayed.

Thinking of this, made me think of Colossians 3:15, "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."

Amen!  We need to let the peace of God rule in our hearts, to which are called in one body.  And, we need to be thankful.

Peace of God ruled in my heart.  And, I was thankful!  Even though what I thought would encourage me, didn't happen.

For this, I'm thankful.  And, always will be.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
