I Look! Do you?

Today, is a day that I've mentioned many times in the past, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).

It's our Lord's Day!  It's our day of worship!

In addition to gathering with church family to worship, I also enjoy worshipping through music.  Just as I've mentioned in the past.

So, today... I'm sharing some music with you!

The music is sung by Whitney Houston and is entitled, I Look to You.  Click on the link, to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i2y69tgTe0.  The lyrics are below.

I Look to You

As I lay me down,
Heaven hear me now.
I'm lost without a cause
After giving it my all.

Winter storms have come
And darkened my sun.
After all that I've been through
Who on earth can I turn to?

I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
In you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
In you I hear a song.
I look to you.

About to lose my breath,
There's no more fighting left,
Sinking to rise no more,
Searching for that open door.

And every road that I've taken
Led to my regret.
And I don't know if I'm going to make it.
Nothing to do but lift my head

I look to you.
I look to you.
And when all my strength is gone,
In you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
In you I hear a song.
I look to you.

My levees are broken
My walls have come
Tumbling down on me

The rain is falling.
Defeat is calling.
I need you to set me free.

Take me far away from the battle.
I need you.
Shine on me.

I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
In you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
In you I hear a song.
I look to you.

Amen!  I look to You.

I look to You, my Lord, Jesus!  Always.

Even though the lyrics of today's music don't mention You, I feel that was what made me think of You, when hearing the music.

Thinking about how I look to Him, made me think of Hebrews 12:2, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Amen!  Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the same and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.... is so very important.

It's been important to me.

Has it been important to you?

If not, look unto Jesus, today.  Now.  Right away.

If you do, you'll be truly blessed.  Forever.

Until next time...
