If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that I mentioned that I would let you know about this past weekend. Well, part of it, yesterday.
Today, I'll let you know what I did last Friday evening, January 26th, 2018. It was something that was truly a blessing to me!
As I had done in the past, I attended a women's church group meeting. Not with my own church family, with whom I worship. But, with my friend's church family!
If you recall, this friend worships at The City Church, here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, where I live. Here's a link for you to click on, to read information about The City Church: http://www.thecitychurch.co/.
As I've said in the past, I truly enjoyed what Kim Freeman preached about. It seems that God has blessed that church family, to have her and her husband, who is a Bishop.
Afterwards, we got together in another part of the building.
We didn't just go there to enjoy coffee, tea or other things to drink. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner!
Yes, it was a pot-luck dinner. Just like in the past. And, was delicious!
It gave me time to be with my friend, N. Plus, to be with other ladies I know there.
And, God opened the door for me to see a lady that I hadn't seen in a long time. It was wonderful seeing her and speaking with her!
Thinking about how I was able to spend time and visit with women I know, made me think of Ephesians 2:19, "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;"
As you read, we are not strangers or foreigners. We are fellow citizens who are saints and spent time together as in the household of God.
Yes, we are saints, because we have gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ. Meaning, we are born again Christians.
I am. So were the women I know who attended that event.
It doesn't matter if you are female or male. The matter is, you need to gain salvation, to become part of the household of God.
If you haven't yet gained salvation, come to Christ... today.
Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...
