Baptism!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be letting you know about something I am truly happy about!

Do you have any idea what it is I am happy about?

Probably not.  Unless you know me in real life, and spent time with me, yesterday.

Of course, yesterday was SONday.  Our day of worship!

Did I worship only as I've done lately?  No.

I worshiped with two (2) groups of fellow Christians.

Yes, I did meet at 4:00 pm with my church family, at our pastor's home, where we've been worshiping.  During this worship service, pastor Brad Mayer had me sing.

Like in the past, I sang solo... and a capella (without music).

Did I do this to honour me?  Absolutely NOT!

I did it to honour my Lord.  Just as I always do.

Just so you know, it was a service when we were celebrating, as well.  Why?

At 11:00 am, I worshiped with my church family, but at a different church group location.  The church group location was actually where I had worshiped in the past.

Why was my church family there?

Baptism!

Since my church family doesn't yet have a church building, our pastor Brad was able to arrange to have some of our church family members baptized at another other church location.  For this, I'm thankful.  Truly thankful!

After all, these adults were fairly new... born again Christians, who had repented and decided to do what all born again Christians know we need to do.  For we've read it in God's Word, the Bible.

Just like we read, in Acts 2:38, "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Amen!  Repent!  And, be baptized!  Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Yes, today many people call the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, but that's acceptable.

I must admit, I was truly happy that some of our church family were baptized... in a location where they were baptized in water.

Hallelujah!

Yes, I'm thankful to the other church group, for allowing the baptism to take place.  I'm thankful to my church family members who were being baptized, for they were doing what truly needed to be done.  Plus, I am also thankful to my pastor.  And, of course, I'm thankful to my Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you, the pastor and members of the other church group who provided the baptism to take place!

Thank you, church family members!

Thank you, pastor Brad!

Thank You, my dear Lord!

Until next time...
