Away In A Manger...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be letting you know that like usual, today is a special day.  It's our day of worship!

Worshiping through music is truly important, to me.  Hopefully, to you, also!

Knowing that today is the first (1st) SONday in December, I decided to share with you some Christmas music.

Just so you know, I'll be sharing two (2) versions of Away In A Manger

Why?  Because there are a couple of musical versions!

As I child, when I lived in USA, I learned one (1) version.  Then, after moving back into Canada, I learned the other version.

I must admit, I enjoy both versions of Away In A Manger.  So, I'm sharing them with you.  Here are the links for you to click on to listen to and/or sing along:

The lyrics are below.

Away In A Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head
The stars in the (bright) sky looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay

The cattle are lowing the (poor) baby awakes
But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes
I love thee Lord Jesus look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle till morning is night

Be near me Lord Jesus I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever and love me I pray
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care
And take us to Heaven to live with Thee there

(And take us to Heaven to live with Thee there)

You'll probably notice that some things are a little different in each of both versions.  Still, it was easy to use the lyrics.

As the lyrics states:  I ask Thee to stay close by me forever and love me, I pray...  He has, and always does stay with us.

Just as Jesus told us, in Matthew 28:20, "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Amen!  Jesus is with us always, even unto the end of the world!

Hallelujah!

For this, I'm thankful!

And, always will be.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
