This is another day, when I feel I need to share something with you, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
It's not an e-mail I've received. It's something that I saw online.
Msn.com posted an article entitled, Family freed returns to Canada, says 1 child killed: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/family-freed-returns-to-canada-says-1-child-killed/ar-AAtpQa5?li=AAadgLE&ocid=spartanntp.
If you haven't yet clicked on that link, please do so. It's important for you to read about what happened to the Canadian family, when they were in Afghanistan.
In case you didn't or couldn't click on the link and read the article, I'm sharing some of the information stated (I copied/pasted):
TORONTO — Former hostage Joshua Boyle said upon arriving back in Canada that the Haqqani network in Afghanistan had killed his infant daughter and raped his American wife during the years they were held in captivity.
Boyle gave the statement shortly after landing in Canada late Friday with his wife, Caitlan Coleman, and three young children.
The couple was rescued Wednesday, five years after they had been abducted by the Taliban-linked extremist network while in Afghanistan as part of a backpacking trip. Coleman was pregnant at the time and had four children in captivity. The birth of the fourth child had not been publicly known before Boyle appeared before journalists at the Toronto airport.
Aww... it also stated (I copied/pasted):
Dan Boyle, Joshua's younger brother, said outside the family home in Smiths Falls, Ontario, that he had spoken to his brother a few times in the past few days.
"He's doing very well. He sounds a lot like how he sounded five years ago. He sounds like he had his head on his shoulders and his wits about him," he said.
The Canadian government said in a statement they will "continue to support him and his family now that they have returned."
"Today, we join the Boyle family in rejoicing over the long-awaited return to Canada of their loved ones," the Canadian government said.
Sigh...
There's several reasons why it is sad what this family went through, while being in Afghanistan.
Plus, it is truly sad to me, that our Canadian government made that statement.
Please understand... that I am happy our Canadian government said they will continue to support him and his family, now that they have returned.
It confuses me as to why the Canadian government said that they join the Boyle family in rejoicing over the long-awaited to return to Canada of their loved ones.
Why does this confuse me?
Well, our Canadian government has a Prime Minister for Canada, who is in support of Muslims.
Just as he, Justin Trudeau confirmed during the election time, through news videos, etc. At that time, he let everyone know that he would give Muslims more rights here in Canada.
Is this what we need?
Absolutely, not.
After all, if they have enough rights here in Canada, they will be able to arrange for Sharia Law.
If this happens, Canada will become more like Afghanistan. And, like other countries where Islam does what their god wants them to do.
Even so, I rejoice that this family returned to Canada.
This made me think of Romans 12:15, "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep."
Amen! We need to rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Please, join me in rejoicing for this Canadian family.
And, please join me in weeping with them, for they also are weeping.
In addition, please join me in prayer for this family.
If you do, may God bless you.
Until next time...
