H.B. Z! & Honour...

Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I'd like to wish my grandson, Z... Happy Birthday!  I'm looking forward to celebrating with you.  Happy Birthday!

If you read yesterday's LwL entry, you'll know that World War 1 was mentioned.  Plus, you'll also know that honouring veterans from then, and/or any other wars may be dishonoured.

Why?

Because in USA a group of people are using law suits to try and remove honouring of veterans.  If it happens regarding the memorial for WW1, then it will open the door for any/all memorials to be removed.

Not just in USA.  It may open the door for groups like that, to do the same in other countries.  Like where I live, and possibly where you live.

To me, it's truly evil that any group of people would want to dishonour those who fought for our freedom.

However, today... I'll be letting you know about how we in Canada honour those who have fought for our freedom.

We in Canada, celebrate November 11th, as our Remembrance Day!

Here's a link for you to click on, to check it out:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_Day.

Yes, Remembrance Day is a statutory holiday, here in Canada.  Here's a link for you to click on, to check it out:  https://www.statutoryholidays.com/remembrance_day.php.

Hopefully, you clicked on that link, and read the article.  If you did, you'll also know that there is someone who is speaking up, who wants our November 11th Remembrance Day to be no longer a statutory holiday.

If it happens to us, here in Canada, then it may open the door for someone or a group of people to do what they are trying to do in USA and/or other countries, regarding removing memorials.

Talk about evilness!  I believe that by removing memorials and/or statutory holidays honouring anyone, would be a way of dishonouring those who have done all they could to provide us our freedom.

After all, we need to honour those who do all they can for us.

Especially, since in life, there is time for war.

Just as we read, in Ecclesiastes 3:8, "A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

Amen!  Just as we read in today's Bible verse, there is... a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

We had a time of war, in the past.  And, in some ways have a time of war, even today.

But, it seems that since people want to dishonour by removing memorials of those who have fought for our freedom, there is also a time of hate.  For, they do not love, so it is not a time of love, for them.

But, it can be a time of love, if you speak up.  And, do whatever you can to help there be a time of peace, where those who deserve being honoured, will be.

Please, do what you can.

And, join me in prayer.

If you do, God will bless you.

Until next time...
