Something happened that I want to let you know about, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
Really, I normally wouldn't speak about what happened. But, after praying about it, I decided I would, for God put it on my heart and mind to do so.
What happened?
Well, with SONday being our day when we gather with church family to worship, that's what I would have done. But, I didn't.
Why?
Well, I had participated in a family event that I will tell you about later, and I was told that those helping participate would be at my apartment building between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (noon). By hearing this, I realized that I could not go to worship.
Instead, I worshipped by watching a pastor I adore, on television (TV). And, prayed.
Did those family members and other people show up when they said they would?
No. They didn't show up until a couple minutes before 1:00 p.m.
This upset me. I felt truly hurt.
After all, if they had spoken truth, then I could have gone to worship, and even participated in communion.
Plus, I would have gotten home on time for them to arrive. To me, it was obvious they didn't care.
Did I forgive them?
Yes.
Did they treat me well?
No.
There was no apology. Nor did anyone really even speak to me.
Even though this made me feel uncomfortable, I again... forgave them. After all, that's what we need to do.
Just as we read, in Colossians 3:13, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."
Amen! Being patient, and forgiving others, if anyone has a quarrel against any, even as Christ forgave us, we also need to do. Just as we read in today's Bible verse.
I must admit that it made me feel so much better after forgiving them.
After all, forgiveness is so very important!
That's what Jesus did for us, when He fulfilled God the Father's plan of redemption for us. He paid the price for all the sin of the world.
I am truly thankful for His forgiveness. And, for gaining salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Have you?
If not, do so, today.
Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...
