Today, I'll be letting you know, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), about something that happened to me.
What was it?
I awoke with a song on my heart and mind. It stayed with me for most of the day. Not just that first day, but on many days.
So, I decided to share it with you, even though this is our Lord's Day.
Yes, we are to worship Him. And, in some ways we do, even if it's not a hymn we think of.
The song isn't Christian. However, it's not sinful, either. It's lovely.
The song is by the Beatles, and is entitled, Yesterday. Here's a link for you to click on, to listen to and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRK-geYGhyg. The lyrics are below.
Yesterday
Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away.
Now it looks as though they're here to stay.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly I'm not half the man I used to be.
There's a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.
Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday love was such an easy game to play.
Now I need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday love was such an easy game to play.
Now I need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Mm mm mm mm mm mm mm
Mmm... yes, I adore this song. It's from the past. From when I was a child.
But, I have no idea why it was on my heart and mind, playing continually after I awoke.
Was this a message from God?
Truly, I have no idea.
However, I do believe that we need to realize that God places things on our hearts and mind.
There is something I'd like to say. I've had songs like this, do this to me, for a while now.
The songs seem to relate to how my life was in the past.
Maybe it's because I'll be doing something like what I did in the past, with my now deceased husband, Gordon. But, instead... I'll be doing it alone... as I look forward, in my life.
Of course, it might be that I'm looking back, thinking about Gordon, in a grief manner.
Is this the case? I truly have no idea. Just as I said before.
However, I realize that no matter what happens in our life, we need to not look back, always.
Just as we read, in Philippians 3:13, "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,"
Yes, we need to not always look back, even though life isn't always easy.
So, we need to look forward... for God is good. And, He truly loves us.
Even though I don't know why this song has been within me off and on for quite a while, I'll just continue to trust God.
For He provides for us always.
Well, to be sure, He provides for me.
Does He provide for you?
If you haven't yet become part of His family, please do it, as soon as possible.
All you have to do, is trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... and you shall become saved, and become part of His family.
Then, you'll be truly loved.
Please, do it today.
Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...
