Believe it or not, I'll be discussing about being blessed, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
Actually, I was blessed in a couple of ways. And, I'm truly grateful to God, for He answered my prayer requests!
Several weeks ago, I visited my grandson, T and his family.
When I was there, T showed me a new laptop computer he had purchased; it was smaller sized and was detachable. This means that they could either use it as a laptop to type, or use it as a tablet Apparently, he got it on sale for just under Canadian dollars (CAD) $300.00.
When I saw this, I thought I would like to have a similar laptop in the future. I didn't expect to find one at that price, anytime soon... since it was no longer available at that sale price. Plus, I prefer a brand that was different than what T had purchased.
In the past, I've only seen them advertised occasionally. And, the prices were higher.
I prayed. I asked God to provide for me, and let Him know that I would receive it in His time, not mine.
On Thursday, April 27th, my daughter, P let me know that Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) was going to allow people to use some of their collected points to make purchases, on the upcoming weekend.
In the past, whenever this was done, I usually looked online to see what was going to be on sale. The only time I purchased something I truly wanted was a few years back, when I used my points to help obtain a television.
However, when I looked at the flyer online, I saw that SDM actually had a smaller type laptop that was detachable; plus, it was the brand I wanted!
The sale price was $379.99. Of course, they add fees plus taxes. However, by using some of my points, I was able to purchase it with receiving $200.00 off the purchase price.
Wow! I was so very happy! Especially, since the SDM salesperson let me know I received the only one they had.
My goodness! This showed me that God truly answered my prayer.
You see, after praying even when I was on my way to the SDM store, I had asked Him to make sure they had one that I could purchase.
After I completed that purchase, I asked the sales person if I could actually make another purchase of other items, and use points to help reduce the purchase price. He took my points card, and checked it out, because he wasn't sure if it was allowed to be done.
When the salesperson returned my points card to me, he let me know I could. So, I made another purchase.
Yes, I knew I would receive some products free, since my daughter, P had given me coupons that actually gave me the items free. Thank you, P!
However, with all other items I purchased, I also received a discount of CAD $100.00, so I only paid a few dollars for that whole second purchase.
This meant I actually had savings of over CAD $300.00 regarding both purchases!
I was so very thankful. And, thanked Him, over and over, and over again.
Thank You, Lord!
Psalm 105:1, "O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people."
Amen! I give thanks. I gave thanks. And, I called upon His name... and always will.
The purpose of telling you about being blessed is because I wanted to let you know about the deed He did for me.
Of course, that's not the most important deed that He has done.
The absolutely most important deed my Lord ever did, was to give His life, to pay the price for the sin of everyone in the world, for all who trust in/believe upon Him... Jesus Christ. By doing this, He provided salvation for all who will do this and become a member of His family.
I've done this.
Have you?
If not, when your life ends here on earth, you may spend eternity in Hell, separated from God, with no chance of escape.
But, if you do trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, you'll not just receive salvation. You'll also spend eternity with Him, in Heaven.
If you haven't yet done this, come to Christ, today.
Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...
