On Life with Lynnie (LwL), I usually mention what is done on days like today.
Since it's SONday, it's a day of worship, when we go and meet with church family. Yes, we worship together in various ways... including through music.
A Facebook (FB) friend of mine, A... shared some music I adored. I enjoyed it so much, that I thought I would share it with you, today. Even though it is not a hymn, it is Christian music.
The song is by Alan Jackson on YouTube and is entitled, I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URiZ_GAMUKs. The lyrics are below.
I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You
If I survey all the good things that come to me from above
If I could count all the blessings from the storehouse of love
I'd simply ask for the favor of him beyond Mortal King
And I'm sure that He'd grant it again
I want to stroll over Heaven with you some glad day
When all our troubles and heartaches are vanished away
Then we'll enjoy the beauty where all things are new
I want to stroll over Heaven with you
So many places of beauty we long to see here below
But times and treasures have kept us from making plans as you know
But come the morning of the rapture together we'll stand a new
Then we'll stroll over Heaven with you
I want to stroll over Heaven with you some glad day
When all our troubles and heartaches are vanished away
Then we'll enjoy the beauty where all things are new
I want to stroll over Heaven with you
I want to stroll over Heaven with you
Amen! I want to stroll over Heaven... with you.
Thinking about how we can stroll over heaven, made me think about Luke 23:39-43, "And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise."
Just as we read, a man who was the second (2nd) person being crucified was next to Jesus, when He was being crucified. He asked Jesus to save Himself, plus him and the third (3rd) person being crucified at that time. The third (3rd) person rebuked. Then, Jesus said to the man who requested ... Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Wow! Jesus did it.
Where is paradise?
It's Heaven.
Some day, when our lives end here on earth, we have a chance to go and spend eternity with our Lord, in Heaven.
How?
All we need to do is trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... and we will gain salvation (Acts 16:31), to be able to spend eternity in Heaven with Him.
I've done it.
Have you?
If not, please do it now. Don't wait. Tomorrow may be too late.
If you have, I'll look forward to seeing you and spending eternity in Heaven with God... and you.
Until next time...
