I'll be letting you know, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), what I did.
I attended a funeral.
Not the funeral for my cousin, C. She was buried in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on the weekend. You see, I wasn't able to get there, for last Friday, May 19th, 2017 due to living so very far away.
However, I did attend a funeral, yesterday, Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017. The funeral was for my friend, L.
As you may know, my friend, L... died on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017, at about 8:30 pm. Not where she lived. L, died at the hospital.
L had been in hospital for a couple weeks.
Originally, she was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for about a week, Then, she was moved into a normal/regular hospital room.
Instead of healing fully, L suffered more and more. And, died.
After L's death, I wrote on the Guest Book, online. Here's what I wrote:
I truly miss Lynn Allen, but am grateful that she is no longer suffering, and is now with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Some day, I'll see her again. Thank You, Lord...
Amen... I truly feel this way.
I had been asked to notify anyone I thought needed to know about L's funeral. So, I did. I e-mailed people, and posted it on Facebook (FB), and shared messages on FB, also.
At the gravesite, there was about 25 people. Some relatives, but mostly friends, for L... never had children.
We all prayed and listened to the pastor speak.
Of course, many of us spoke with each other. Later, I even spoke with, R... a friend of my daughter, B, when we came across each other!
As we were leaving, we were offered flowers. I was given some. I must admit, they were a lovely gift. Thank you!
Knowing that it would only take about a minute to drive to where my deceased husband, Gordon was buried in Victoria Memorial Gardens cemetery, we stopped there. Yes, I took the flowers and placed them on both Gordon's gravesite and his parents' as well.
Thinking about my friend Lynn Allen, who had just been buried, and thinking about my deceased husband, Gordon, truly touched my heart.
However, I must say that even though it made me sad that they both suffered at the end of their lives, it made me happy that they both were with our Lord... in Heaven.
Just as we read, in John 5:24, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
How do I know both my friend Lynn and my deceased husband, Gordon are with God, in Heaven?
Well, as we read in today's Bible verse, they both received everlasting life, and passed onto life, with God... in Heaven.
How did this happen?
All they did, was trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ. They both gained salvation. Just as I have done.
Have you?
If not, come to Christ, today.
Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...
