More About 105th Anniversary!

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that I attended the event where we all celebrated the 105th anniversary of the Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church (WEBC).  Here's a link for the church group's information:  http://gowebc.com/.

As I mentioned before, Dr. Don McKay also attended the anniversary gathering.

As you already know, Don McKay was my pastor at another church, where he was my pastor for about 15 years.  Yes, I worshipped at that church group for a while longer... 19 years to be exact.

But, Don McKay has been a pastor for quite a few years now, at Bloomfield Hills Baptist Church (BHBC), in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA.  Just as I've mentioned in the past.  Here's a link for you to check out BHBC:  https://www.bloomfieldchurch.com/.

Believe me when I say again that I was truly blessed hearing Don McKay preach at the anniversary event.  So was everyone else in attendance.

I'm mentioning this again, because there's something I need to tell you.

Don McKay spoke about the importance of churches that were truly blessings.  Old Testament churches and New Testament churches were mentioned, as well as churches of today.

Plus, he spoke about speaking truth.  Just as I write about at times.

Yes, he even spoke about Islam, just for a few minutes.  And, suggested that everyone plant those seeds for Christ, with all unbelievers, including Muslims.

In addition, he did something that I believe no one other than me, realized who he was referring to.

While Don McKay was preaching, he not only mentioned Islam.  He also mentioned a woman who he felt was truly a child of God.  A woman who he believes is saved.  A woman who he believes loves God so much that she speaks truth.

He told everyone that the woman is a friend of his on Facebook (FB), and had messaged him.

She had asked him what she should do, since she was always doing what she felt God wanted her to do, yet her Canadian government had arranged for Muslims to have more rights.  He mentioned how the Canadian government had recently brought M-103, to remove some FREEDOM for not just anyone living in the province of Ontario, but also in the whole country of Canada, by taking away Canadians FREEDOM OF SPEECH, by refusing to allow anyone to ever speak about Islam.

He let everyone know that the woman agreed with him, that she should continue doing what God would want her to do.

As I mentioned previously, Don McKay never said who the woman was when he was preaching.

However, when we sat together with other brothers and sisters in the Lord, for the pot-luck dinner, he asked me if I was okay with the fact that he spoke about... ME.

In addition to speaking about me when he had been speaking, he also told everyone about a German pastor, who had been imprisoned by Nazi's.

Why?

Because he spoke truth while preaching/teaching people.

Who was this?  His name was Martin Niemoller.  Here's a link for you to read about him:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Niem%C3%B6ller.

Why did Don McKay mention Martin Niemoller?

He did so, because he wanted everyone to know that even though we speak truth, we may be persecuted.  Just as Martin Niemoller had been.

Even though Martin Niemoller had been in support of Adolf Hitler, the Nazi's arrested him.

Why?  Because he was speaking truth in many ways.

Just as some of us do, today.  Like I will continue to do.

Thinking of this, made me think of 1 Corinthians10:32, "Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:"

When I speak truth, I do not offend Jews, nor Gentiles, nor to the church of God.

But, I speak truth, as God would have me do.

I always will.

Even if I am persecuted in any way.

For I love Him.  And, always will.

I love You, Lord!

Until next time...
