Alleluia!

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that yesterday was Easter Sunday.  This means that today is Easter Monday!

Even though Jesus was risen on Easter Sunday, I decided to share with you an Easter hymn that relates to this important time.

The hymn is by Charles Wesley and someone else, unknown.  It is entitled, Christ The Lord Is Risen Today.  Here is a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzy7jFNUc3w.  The lyrics are below:

Christ The Lord Is Risen Today

Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, o death, is now thy sting?  Alleluia!
Dying once He all doth save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, o grave?  Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain, forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Alleluia!

Christ is risen!

Even though He rose from the dead on the day we call Easter Sunday, I decided to share this with you today, since it is a holiday, here in Canada, called Easter Monday.  Just as I mentioned, earlier.

Why?

Because it's very important to realize that Jesus is alive, and not dead.

Just as we read, in Luke 24:5-8, "And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
And they remembered his words,"

I praise God they remembered His words.  After all, He always spoke truth.

Jesus is risen!

For this, I'll always be thankful!

He loves us so much!

When we have gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, He loves us so much, that he also raises us from the dead.  And, we who have been raised from the dead, will spend eternity with Him, in Heaven.

Thank You, Lord!

Alleluia!

Until next time...
