In the past, I discussed a group with you, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL). I'll do the same, today.
The injured workers group I've been a member of for the last few months, is on Facebook (FB). If you're there, join Unifor Local 195 Injured Workers Support Group.
Please realize, you don't need to be an injured worker to join the group, or attend meetings. You can just be someone who supports injured workers.
The group meets on the first Thursday of every month. Join us if you like.
We meet at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at 3400 Somme Ave (off of Central Ave.), Unifor Local 195 Main Hall, here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Here is a link for you to check out information on the group: https://windsoressex.cioc.ca/record/WIN0833.
I felt badly that I forgot to attend the January meeting. Then, I wasn't able to attend the February meeting. However, I was truly happy to have attended the March meeting!
We actually had a speaker attend our meeting. The lady was there to explain about 211. If you clicked on the link I shared, you'll see that 211 lists the group on their site.
This was actually good. Even though I had heard of 211, I hadn't ever used it. Nor, did I realize what it helped people with.
I'm sure other people there felt the same way.
If you haven't understood what 211 is there for, and if you live in Southwestern Ontario, call 211 if you have a problem that you feel you may need help with. If you do this, the person you speak with, can help you.
Or, if you want, go and check out 211 online. Just as you can if you click on the link I shared.
It is good to me that there's a way for people to be helped. Especially, if they are injured workers. But, please understand, the system is there for everyone! For almost any need.
This truly touched my heart.
After all God has told us to help others.
Just as we read in many Bible verses, including Galatians 6:2, "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."
Yes, the person who spoke with us, helped create this system. It was done to help other people's burdens.
May God bless her, for doing this! And, the group working for the website.
Truly, I don't know if this lady was Christian or not. I never asked her; nor did she mention Him. But, she seemed happy I gave her a wallet calendar that speaks about Jesus.
If she is a fellow child of God's, then I know she participated in helping others, not just to help them, but also to fulfill the law of Christ.
For this, I am thankful.
And, always will be.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
