Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be letting you know about something. It's something that has really been difficult for me to deal with.
It's regarding... sleep!
Ever since I found out about what our Province of Ontario government did by removing some of our freedom, by removing some of our Freedom of Speech, I've felt sick in my heart. Just as I am sure you're aware.
At first, I had trouble sleeping, due to feeling stressed. Then, after a few days I slept a lot.
Last week, I went through more of this problem, again.
For several nights, I only had between two and four and a half (2 - 4 1/2) hours sleep. :(
This is not enough sleep for anyone. Not just me!
After that wonderful evening at the church where I used to worship, where we enjoyed a pasta dinner and games, I felt truly relaxed. For this, I was thankful.
Especially, since I actually slept for about eight (8) hours that night!
On Sunday, I was feeling relaxed. But, something happened that was hard to deal with.
In the afternoon, I was sitting and relaxing in my recliner chair. I fell asleep.
Several times, I found I was waking up, but couldn't fully wake up.
After more than a couple hours, I finally was able to wake up. And, got up out of my chair.
However, I felt so very tired, that I climbed into bed.
Believe me, when I say that I slept in bed, for more than two and a half (2 1/2) hours! This was after having already slept for a couple hours in my chair!
My goodness, I felt overwhelmed by this happening. But, also felt truly wonderful. Blessed. And, thankful. After all, it was truly a wonderful gift I received!
Thinking of this, brought to mind 2 Corinthians 9:15, "Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift."
Yes, I was thankful to God for His unspeakable gift!
Even so, I must admit there is something else we receive that is a much better unspeakable gift we receive from Him.
It's... salvation.
I thank God our Father, for sending His only begotten Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, to earth, to fulfill His plan of redemption for us. I thank Jesus for fulfilling the plan of redemption for us.
I've gained salvation, and am so very thankful. Thank You, Lord!
Have you gained salvation?
In case you don't know how, I'll tell you. All you need to do, is trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).
If you haven't done this yet, please... do it, today.
Tomorrow may be too late.
Until next time...
