Assurance!

Today, is a day here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), when we discuss our need to worship.

With being SONday, we need to worship God. Definitely, in spirit and in truth.

Of course, I also like to worship Him through music.

The hymn I decided to share with you today is entitled, Blessed Assurance.  Here is a link for you to click on, so you can listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOv7RmXi7VE.  The lyrics are below.

Blessed Assurance

Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine
O what a foretaste of glory divine
Heir of salvation, purchased of God
Born of His Spirit, washed in His Blood

This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, perfect delight
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love

This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blessed
Watching and waiting, looking above
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love

This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long

Praising my Savior all the day long

Just as the lyrics tell us, blessed assurance, Jesus is mine.

He's mine.  Because I am His.

Thinking of this, brought to mind, 2 Timothy 1:9, "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"

We have not ever done anything within ourselves or our lives to gain salvation, other than by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Grace was given to us, long before the world began.  Long before we were ever born.

He knows who will become part of His family.

I know that I've become part of His family.

Have you?

My friend, if you haven't yet come to Christ, to gain salvation, please... do so today.

Tomorrow may be too late.

Until next time...
